Before + After: A Bath Closet Glow Up

Calling all lovers of organization + skin care! Keep scrolling for a quick + simple bathroom closet refresh.

Are you an organization fanatic like me? If you are reading this blog, then the answer is likely YES. I told myself this would be the year that I organize all those spaces I’ve been neglecting for YEARS. And to start, I’m giving my bath closet a thorough clean out, throw out, recycle out and glow up!

Come along for a scroll and let’s get into this little refresh, shall we?

But first! The messy before…

So secretly, I’m really into skincare products. And to explain…I’ve struggled with skin issues my entire life. Like I’ve been searching for the perfect cleanser (for me) since high school to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. My issues are mainly acne, but now I also have wrinkles with a side of eczema + a pinch of hyperpigmentation so I’m all over the place. lol

All that to say, skin care is important to me and I like my products! And I like to organize so let’s put it all together and spark some joy, right?!

I know the first rule of de-cluttering/organizing/etc is to take everything out first! So the great purge began. I had a ton of stuff that I didn’t use or that had expired, which makes me a bit mad at myself for being so wasteful! But I digress…

And that is it! Frame and enjoy! I told you it was easy. I might experiment with a bigger plant and frame in the future or maybe even..dare I say faux plants!

What do y’all think? This was easy and could be done in about an hour once you press the plants. I made a little infographic tutorial in case you want to try it out this weekend!

I popped in to my local Container Store to grab a few items. I’m super duper forgetful, so I loved those Nordic Bins paired with the clip-on dry erase labels. I need to label more things!! I divided out my essentials and grouped them into the bins to keep the clutter to a minimum.

For my skin care essentials and makeup, I wanted a functional + pretty way to display my most used items. I picked up a few acrylic containers and stacked them together to create a little skin care station that is neat, tidy and easily accessible for the day-to-day.

I decided to use the space at the bottom as a spot for my hamper and found a pretty good lidded basket (similar) for laundry!

A spot for some towels and that’s it!

Simple, neat and accessible!

I hope you found this post useful or inspirational. Happy organizing!
