Patterns are one of my favorite ways to brighten up a room, and right now, checkerboard prints are making a comeback. And of course that is nothing new – styles always go out and then come back in style. And this once dated, retro print is trending big and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Now why do I love the checkerboard print so much?
One word: versatile!
This pattern is simple, classic and goes with basically everything! Depending on how you style it, this pattern can read sporty, retro, sophisticated, Nordic, modern…the list goes on! And while I’m the biggest fan of this pattern on Van’s sneakers, it has come to my attention that checkerboard can be used in so many ways, especially when it comes to home decor.
